I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my Lenovo ThinkPad W540.
I 'reserved' the Windows 10 upgrade quite a while back.
Mar 10, 2016 - Verify the checksum on the ISO file that you downloaded. Of the ISO image matches what it says in the checksum file, and you know that the.
A few days after July 29th, since the upgrade did not show up, I decided to try the manual upgrade path
using the MediaCreationTool.
I made the proper choices for OS and language:
Window 10 Pro, 64bit, English US.
and downloaded the ISO image.
Then I burned the ISO image onto a DVD and tried to install from the DVD.

The installation proceeded up to the point where it says: 'Installing Windows 10'
The installation percentages advance up to 20% and then installation disappears and the following error message shows:
After not seeing any other meaningful information, I decided maybe my download was incomplete, so I tried downloading again.
To verify that the download was good I tried to check the SHA1 and MD5 hash and checksum values using the following command:

As you can see the hash and checksum of the two downloads are not identical, proving that at least one of those downloads
was not good.
However, I could not find a reference anywhere on Microsoft sites showing what the has and checksum should be.
How To Determine Iso Download Integrity In Computer
Installing from both ISO images fails during install, but at a different percentage.
I ran the setup using the following command:
F:>setup /copylogs 'C:UsersAWesleyAppDataLocalTempWin10InstLogs'
If needed I can provide the logs from the above folder.
Any idea why my setup is failing?
